Who We Are
The Cannabis Research Center operates under the WSU Office of Research. We bring together faculty, trainees, and collaborators across the WSU system who are advancing the scientific understanding of cannabis. Our members represent disciplines including neuroscience, psychology, medicine, human development, public health, communication, agriculture, and policy

Responsible for overall leadership, program oversight, budget management, center initiatives and activities, and strategic planning

Research Focus: Effects of cannabis on cognition, mental health, and stress.
Ryan McLaughlin
Research Focus: Effects of cannabis on stress, neurodevelopment, and decision making.
Internal Scientific Advisory Committee (ISAC)
The ISAC offers scientific and strategic guidance to ensure the CRC’s programs align with its mission and promote rigorous research activities. The ISAC reviews and approves the budget and planned activities and advises on major policy or programmatic changes.
Administrative Advisory Committee
Provides operational, financial, and institutional guidance and helps ensure transparency.
